I’ve always had very normal skin. Not too dry, not too oily. But ever since I turned 27 my skin has been extremely dry. I exfoliate. I use AHAs and BHAs. I use serums, moisturizers, etc. and nothing seems to work.
The main part of my face that is dry is my forehead. Whenever I do my skincare routine I apply a little extra of whatever I’m using to my forehead and it works great for an hour or two then it’s right back to being dry.
There are a few products in my skincare collection that help combat my dry skin, they just don’t fully work.
I have a small bottle of La Mer moisturizer that I only use when my skin is super dry.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil is another one that helps tremendously. I typically just apply it to my forehead and cheeks.
Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial has been a game changer when it comes to exfoliating. I use it about once a week.
However, that all being said, the other night I used my husband’s cheap Lóréal Age Perfect Night Cream ($10!) and it worked wonders on my skin! I mixed it with my Drunk Elephant facial oil and it worked like a dream!
So I think, at least for the winter, I need to switch my regular moisturizer for a night cream.
So my question for you is-
What is your favorite night cream?
Shoot me a comment below and let me know so you can help a sista out!
Oh I’m going to have to try the Loreal one!
I love drunk elephant but it’s so expensive. I have the facial and I love it and use it for my treat myself night lol
I’ve always had very dry skin, and I’ve found that when I chug water like crazy throughout the day the next day my skin isn’t as painfully dry.
I’m like you, I have a few staples but nothing has ever helped me completely.
Thank you for sharing, I will have to try some of these!

I haven’t used many night creams but I really liked Clark’s Botanicals Retinol Rescue Overnight Cream when I received a small sample from Ipsy before!
